By making a booking you agree to these terms. Locksters Pool reserves the right to refuse entry, or to end a stay at any point before or during it, for anyone in breach of them. The short version is on every accommodation page — this is all of it.
Booking & payment
Please confirm you have a firm booking before making any payment. For BACS payments, reference it with the surname and initial of whoever made the booking.
We accept a 50% deposit for advance bookings, with full cleared payment one week before arrival. If the balance isn't paid by its due date we will release the pitch to other parties, and your deposit and pitch are lost. All other bookings are paid in full prior to or on arrival. Deposits are not returnable.
Check in & check out
Bell tents and the railway wagon from midday; camping from 3pm. Please check in by 8pm. Check out is by 12pm unless otherwise arranged.
Access & the lanes
The lanes from Clifford village and Priory Wood are narrow. There are ramblers, dog walkers and horse riders on them, so bear that in mind as you pass along. Note the passing places and be prepared to reverse to the nearest one. It is only just over a mile from the village — even at a sedate 20mph that takes five minutes.
The farm
As you pass through the farm, on foot or in a vehicle, please close all gates after you. Locksters is a working farm with livestock in the fields and often in the farm buildings. Please keep out of the farm buildings and any planted crops, and avoid the livestock where you can. Yvonne will let you know where you are free to walk, including the ways onto the Herefordshire Trail and the Wye Valley Walk.
Pitches
Pitches are allocated on arrival. If your stay is longer than four days we will ask you to relocate your tent, to preserve the grass and let it recover.
Dogs, children & guests
We cannot accommodate dogs, due to livestock. Children are welcome on the camping meadows and in the railway wagon; the bell tent area is for over-18s only.
Fires
Only light fires where shown, and only use wood provided by us. Our wood is checked thoroughly for metal and sourced from fallen trees and trimmings on the farm. Please do not scavenge for wood or damage any trees and bushes. Note that the banks of the River Wye are an S.S.S.I. and protected under law — removing or damaging plants or stones is a fineable offence.
Noise
Please keep noise to a minimum so that others can enjoy the area. No generators. No amplified music or radios after 10pm.
Fishing & glass
There is no fishing allowed from the site. Please do not use glassware out on the site — keep it within your tent or camper.
Visitors
We have limited parking and toilet facilities. Visitors by arrangement only, and they must follow our terms of use. Visitors must leave the site by 9.30pm.
Valuables & damage
Please ensure any valuables are not left unattended. Locksters Pool cannot be held liable for theft or damage suffered while using the site or our facilities.
